What is 'Technical Rope Access'?
Technical Rope Access is a form of specialized rope techniques that allows experienced workers to access hard to reach locations using methods derived from climbing and caving.
Technical Rope access enables access to areas that are not easily accessed by traditional methods such as the use of scaffolding and cherry pickers.
The use of rope access reduces the time spent setting up and dismantling access systems. It ensures repairs are tackled swiftly and with minimal disruption to normal operations. It provides cost saving on projects through the elimination or reduction of scaffolding.

What is Rope Access?
Rope Access is a form of work positioning, initially developed from techniques used in caving (SRT - Single Rope Technique) abseiling and rock climbing (TPS - three points system), that is applied to the various needs of industry.
The rope access industry has an exemplary safety record which derives from rigorous adherence to comprehensive safety practices. At QAMAC safety is an integral part of our culture and company mission. Our Rope Access Technicians meet and exceed rope access industry training requirements. Our rope access technicians continuously practice the art of rigging and working at heights. When accessing difficult work locations rope access technicians use the support of two ropes (minimum). Each rope has an independent anchorage point. The worker's ropes will have a failsafe descent mechanism. Each worker has been trained and has the proper self-rescue equipment to deal with any eventuality. To avoid falling objects hazard to others below all secondary tools and equipment (e.g. drills, sealant, hand tools & etc.) are attached by lanyards to worker's harness. A minimum of two technicians is required for any job.
Rope access technicians are available for a variety of industries including:
• Cement Plants Inspection works
